I am a passionate and experienced educator, part time writer, language researcher and overall lover of all things knowledge related. My goal is simple, it is to help students become the best possible version of themselves and achieve great things. I encourage them to dream big, work hard and always have their minds set on their goals. Impossible is nothing is my motto! I have been educated in some of the finest institutions Canada has to offer. Upon completing my Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy at McMaster University, I completed my Bachelor of Education at York University in Toronto. Finally, I received my Master of Education from the University of Toronto, which is a world-renowned institution. My extensive education has equipped me with the knowledge and skills as well as the experience to be able to approach teaching many subject areas in a confident, precise and equitable manner. I have 14+ years of experience teaching elementary and secondary school. Throughout my teaching career I have taught various subjects at various levels. I have always excelled at adapting to new roles and creating an enriching program for my students which best suits their unique learning needs aids in their socio-emotional development. All children are unique, and they must be provided with an environment where they can grow physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. I always aim to create this type of atmosphere in my classroom as well as through my teaching practice; one where students meet their full potential. I also aim to provide a safe environment where students are encouraged to share ideas and take risks. I have experience in teaching multiple subject areas some of which include English, Philosophy, Literature, History, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, Communication studies, Social Studies, just to name a few. I will also add that I am fluent in Serbian. Simply put, education is my passion, and I look to include it in all facets of my life. I am on the board of directors of the Nikola Tesla Educational Corporation based in Hamilton ON. Our mission is to educate and inspire students about the life and work of Nikola Tesla. Through this role I have the opportunity to engage with many students throughout the Ontario region and instill the love of learning with them. I am a dependable, hard-working person and take pride in my work. I respect the diversity of my surroundings and demonstrate excellent judgment and tact. I am a motivated, diligent and well-organized individual seeking advancement opportunities in a challenging and dynamic work environment.
