I have extensive experience supporting students across Kindergarten to Grade 9 in both classroom and tutoring settings. As an Education Assistant, I have worked closely with students with diverse learning needs, including Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and behavioural challenges, providing one-on-one and small-group support across a variety of subject areas. I have several years of experience providing private, individualized tutoring for students from Grade 9 to Grade 11 across English, Social Studies, and IB preparation. My work focuses on building strong writing skills, including essay organization, paragraph structure, research-based writing, and critical analysis. I plan targeted lessons based on each student’s learning needs and goals, and I support students with autism, ADHD, and anxiety by breaking tasks into manageable steps and using flexible strategies to improve focus and confidence. I prioritize relationship-building and clear communication with families, regularly discussing progress and next steps. Through personalized instruction, I aim to help students grow in independence, academic confidence, and long-term learning skills.
I’m a passionate educator with experience supporting students through private tutoring and individualized instruction. I love helping students build confidence in their learning, especially in writing, organization, and critical thinking. I’ve worked closely with students with diverse learning needs and I enjoy finding strategies that help each student feel capable and supported. I value patience, encouragement, and adaptability, and I believe strong relationships are the foundation for meaningful learning. My goal is to help students not only succeed academically, but also feel confident, motivated, and proud of their progress. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Education in hopes to become a full time teacher. In my free time I love to go on walks, bake or cozy up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book.
