I have helped to mentor MSc and BSc students, and been invited several times to speak with high-school and college students about degree prospects, stem cell research and neuroscience. Additionally, I am very involved in science outreach and have demonstrated/ spoken at science festivals, schools and museums. I also have professional experience as a personal assistant where I was hired to help younger autistic individuals with homework, as well as working in a nursery where I promoted the teaching of science (mainly biology and microscopy) to 4-5 years old preschoolers.
Currently studying towards a PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University. I was born in UK and educated at Sheffield University, where I completed a degree in archaeological science specializing in the study of bones and evolution. During my undergraduate degree I worked as a care assistant with elderly individuals with neurodegenerative disorders and became interested in the brain, I was then accepted onto an MSc in Neuroscience at Sheffield University and subsequently a funded PhD in neuroscience at McGill university where I specialize in developmental neuroscience and retinal biology.
